Bitcoin ETF inflows surge after Coldcard hack, but link is unclear: Bloomberg analyst

I think the real story here isn't the Coldcard hack—it's that institutions are buying dips no matter what the trigger is. BTC sitting around $64,360, down just 0.3% in 24h, while ETF money keeps flowing in during chaos. That tells me the bid is structural, not reactive. Retail sees a hack headline and panics; institutions see a price dip and add exposure.

My read: this is bullish for BTC specifically because it shows the ETF wrapper is doing its job—decoupling price action from scary news cycles. But the risk is that if the hack actually turns into a supply issue or exchange insolvency, those same institutions will yank money faster than they piled in. Coldcard is a hardware wallet, so this is more reputational than systemic, but contagion fears don't need logic.

Compared to ETH at $1,901 with barely any ETF buzz today, BTC is clearly the institutional darling. That gap might persist until ETH gets its own clear catalyst, so I'd rather watch BTC flows this week than chase any alt narrative.
