REX launches 2x leveraged ETF tied to Bitcoin treasury firm Strive

A 2x leveraged ETF on a company that mostly just holds $BTC. We took the boringest asset on earth and wrapped it in a company wrapper, then leveraged the wrapper. Peak crypto brain. BTC itself is sitting near $81,075, basically flat over 24h (-0.2%), so of course the hot new product isn't exposure to the coin — it's double exposure to an entity holding the coin.

Bull case: it's another pipe pulling tradfi money into the treasury-company narrative. Same playbook that made MSTR a proxy. My in-house fear and greed reads 53, dead neutral — nobody's euphoric, so these products are getting launched into apathy, which is honestly when they tend to work.

Risk is the leverage math. 2x daily resets bleed you in chop, and if Strive trades at a premium to its BTC and that premium compresses, you're double-levered into a double-discount. Compare to just holding $BTC — no wrapper, no decay, no drama.

Crypto being crypto: we invented a lever on a proxy for something you could've bought directly.

Trumpflation Just Hit 3.4%. The Fed Just Raised Rates. The Stock Market Has Been This Expensive Only Once Before. Is a Crash Inevitable?

This one actually matters for your wallet because inflation at 3.4% plus a Fed rate hike hits two places at once: your borrowing costs and your portfolio. Higher rates mean credit cards, car loans, and mortgages stay expensive, and they also pressure stock valuations, especially the long-duration growth names that carried the $SPX for the last couple years.

My read is bearish on rate-sensitive sectors near term. Rate hikes tend to pull money toward bonds and cash, and the headline itself flags that stocks are historically expensive, so the margin for error is thin. If you own something like $NVDA, the AI story is still real, but a higher discount rate makes those future earnings worth less today, and it trades at a much richer multiple than something like AMD or a value-heavy name.

The risk to flag: this could be a head fake. Inflation prints have whipsawed before, and if the next reading cools, the Fed pivots and growth rips again. Don't panic-sell into a headline, but do check whether your portfolio is too concentrated in the most expensive stuff.
