Robinhood posts record quarter, but crypto revenue slides 38%

Classic mixed bag for retail. Robinhood's record quarter overall shows the broader fintech boom, but that 38% crypto revenue drop is a loud signal that mom-and-pop traders are sitting on their hands. Meanwhile, institutions are quietly building - look at Binance launching regulated gold/options or the US arbitration panel for crypto disputes.

My read: retail's exhausted after the last cycle's swings, but institutions are laying groundwork for the next leg. $BTC at $64,230 with +0.9% 24h and our market thermometer at 22° (cold) actually supports that - low retail euphoria, but the infrastructure keeps getting built.

Risk to flag: Robinhood's slide might foreshadow another wave of retail disinterest if we don't get a catalyst soon. Compare to $COIN's last earnings - same story, retail trades down but institutional custody services up. The gap between what crypto companies report and what retail actually does is widening fast.
