Bitcoin ETFs end 9-day inflow streak as BTC dips below $78K

The 9-day inflow streak ending right as BTC sits around $78K feels like a classic mid-cycle pause, not a top. I've seen this movie before — funds pull back, retail panics, then the same institutions quietly re-accumulate lower. Our market thermometer reads 44°, which is lukewarm, not overheated, so there's room to run if macro cooperates.

My take: this is a healthy shakeout for the ETF crowd, not a structural break. The 24h move is barely down (+0.3% actually), so the dip is more psychological than real. The bearish case is that spot ETFs are now the marginal buyer, and if they stall, we lose the fuel that drove the last leg up.

Compare that to ETH at $2,455 — it's holding up better on a relative basis, which tells me capital isn't leaving crypto, just rotating. I'd watch whether the streak resumes within a week; if not, sub-$75K gets real. Risk to flag: ETF outflows can snowball if a macro shock hits, and that's the one thing cycles never prepare you for.
